Horacio Delgado Automóviles: Used Vehicle Sales Software Development

In this project, I developed an extension for Horacio Delgado Automóviles' existing vehicle sales system, focusing specifically on the sales of used vehicles. The goal was to enhance the company's capabilities in managing and selling used vehicles by integrating new features tailored to this segment of the market.

Horacio Delgado Automóviles had an established system for new vehicle sales, but it lacked the functionality needed to effectively manage used vehicle sales. My task was to extend the current system to include modules for listing, tracking, and selling used vehicles. This involved creating a user-friendly interface for both the sales team and customers, as well as ensuring the system could handle the unique aspects of used vehicle transactions.

Challenges and Solutions:

One of the main challenges was integrating the new used vehicle module with the existing system without disrupting current operations. To achieve this, I carefully analyzed the existing codebase and database structure. By using modular design principles, I was able to add the new features seamlessly.

Another challenge was ensuring that the system could accurately track the history and condition of each used vehicle, which is crucial for both the sales team and potential buyers. I implemented detailed vehicle history reports and condition assessments within the system, allowing sales representatives to provide comprehensive information to customers. This included features for uploading and managing photos, tracking previous ownership, and recording maintenance history.

Additionally, I focused on enhancing the search and filter capabilities to help customers easily find the used vehicles that met their criteria. Advanced search options, such as filtering by make, model, year, mileage, and price, were integrated to improve user experience.

Results and Impact:

The new used vehicle sales module significantly improved the efficiency of managing and selling used vehicles at Horacio Delgado Automóviles. Sales representatives could now access and present detailed information about each used vehicle, building trust with potential buyers. The advanced search and filter options made it easier for customers to find the right vehicle, enhancing their overall experience.

This extension also contributed to an increase in used vehicle sales, as the streamlined process and enhanced features attracted more customers. The integration of detailed vehicle histories and condition reports provided transparency, which was a key factor in boosting customer confidence and satisfaction.

Conclusion:
